What is the PFPC?
The Patient and Family Partnership Council (PFPC) is a collaborative advisory group composed of Cody Regional Health employees, past or current patients, and family members. The Council helps inform and shape our policies, services, and culture to ensure they reflect the needs, preferences, and values of those we serve.
Purpose
The PFPC fosters a culture of person-centered care by:

Promoting community partnership and engagement within our organization

Providing valuable insight into patient and family experiences

Supporting organizational initiatives with a focus on compassion, quality, and partnership

Collaborating with other Planetree and person-centered care efforts across Cody Regional Health

Council Composition
PFPC includes:

Cody Regional Health staff

Current or former patients
-
Family members of current or former patients
Council size ranges from 16 to 26 members, with efforts made to balance representation between staff and community members.
Membership Expectations
PFPC members are asked to:

Serve actively and attend monthly meetings

Share experiences candidly and constructively
-
Support quality improvement projects
-
Promote Planetree principles and person-centered care
-
Collaborate with other council members respectfully and confidentially
Leadership Structure
The PFPC is currently operating under a temporary leadership structure which will evolve to include both staff and patient/family representatives. Leadership roles include Co-Chairs, a Clinical Advisor, and Senior Leader oversight, with all members expected to uphold Cody Regional Health’s mission and values.
Meeting Details
The PFPC meets monthly for one hour. Meetings focus on identifying ways to improve access, communication, and overall patient and family experiences. Additional meetings may be held as needed.
